Some wedding days feel different from the moment you walk in. Amanda and Jake’s Bluestone Estate Fall Wedding was one of those days. From start to finish, the whole day overflowed with love. Their love for each other was obvious, and so was their love for every friend and family member in the room.
Before the day was over, I told Amanda something I meant with my whole heart. I pray my daughter grows up to be just like her. Amanda has the kindest heart, always thinks of others first, and keeps God at the center of it all. Being around her is a gift.
How Amanda and Jake Met
Their story started with a mutual friend named Jared. Amanda shared a class with Jared at Millersville University, and Jared told Jake all about her. Soon after, Jake reached out and asked Amanda on a date. As they like to say, the rest is history.
Their first date was at Chick-fil-A. Jake felt a little guilty that he didn’t take her to a nice restaurant. Still, Amanda says it couldn’t have been more fun. After dinner, she even met up with a few of her friends. It was the start of something so good.
Soft and Elegant Florals
For their flowers, Amanda chose soft touches of white and light pink. The result was soft and elegant, just like Amanda. Every arrangement felt like a perfect reflection of the bride.
A Morning Full of Emotion
Amanda’s morning included three special moments, and each one was meaningful in its own way.
First, she revealed her dress to her bridesmaids. Their excitement when they saw her was infectious! But before that, the girls piled into a vintage burgundy Mustang convertible for some fun photos by the barn.
Next, she shared a first look with her dad, and it was full of tears. Amanda had written him a letter. Unfortunately for his composure, he couldn’t get through reading it because he kept losing it. It was one of the sweetest moments of the whole day.
Finally, Amanda and Jake shared a first touch and private vows. They stood on opposite sides of a door, holding hands without seeing each other. Together, they shared scriptures, memories, and promises for this new chapter. Watching them, you could feel how rooted in faith their love is. As a result, the moment they finally saw each other at the ceremony meant even more.
Jake and His Groomsmen
Jake was so easy to work with and so respectful. He and his groomsmen had a great time being together and celebrating the day. Their fun, easygoing energy made the guys a blast to photograph.
A Pondside Ceremony at Bluestone Estate
Amanda and Jake said their vows outdoors by the pond, right in front of the barn. It was the perfect backdrop for a fall ceremony.
As Amanda walked down the aisle with her dad, Jake wiped away tears. It was the first time he saw his bride that day, and his reaction said everything. Then, during the ceremony, their guests bowed their heads in prayer over the couple. Surrounded by the people who love them most, they became husband and wife.
After their first kiss, guests filled the air with bubbles. Jake dipped Amanda for one more kiss in the aisle, and everyone cheered.
Love You Could See
Once the ceremony ended and Amanda and Jake were finally together, their love was on full display. You could see it in the way they looked at each other. You could also see it in every touch and every smile. Later, we took the Mustang out again for a few portraits of the newlyweds. As a photographer, these are the moments I live for.
A Reception Surrounded by Love
During the toasts and dances, the whole room was quiet. Every guest was fully focused on Amanda and Jake. It was beautiful to see so much love surrounding them.
Then the dance floor opened up, and it was so fun for young and old! Everyone celebrated together, and it truly was the best day.
