As the day slowly approached so did the hurricane that was climbing up the east coast. We had been carefully watching it on the weather forecast, and the day that it was supposed to reach Pennsylvania was the day of Hannah and Will’s wedding at the beautiful Country Barn.
I just couldn’t believe it.
They already been forced to reschedule their wedding day from May due to COVID, and now this? These two just couldn’t win…..
Or could they.
All throughout Friday, I continued to check the radar hoping that things would start to lighten up. Or the hurricane’s path shifted. But each time, it was always the same. Rain! All day. I knew the venue had tons of indoor options, but I knew how much Hannah loved the outside of the barn and was really hoping for outdoor pictures on her day. Since we were only one day away, my hopes for change started to sink away, and I started preparing my rain gear to bring along.
But then something happened….
I woke up the next morning and out of curiosity decided to check the forecast for the day. Assuming it would be the same, but I just checked anyway. What was supposed to be rain all day starting around 8 AM shifted to starting around 10 AM. And then an hour later, it shifted to 11 AM. I didn’t want to get my hopes too high, but I was definitely getting a feeling that there could be a chance. When the time came for me to make my way to the venue, the forecast had almost completely turned to cloudy or partly sunny, with only a few chances of small showers here or there. What?!
I seriously couldn’t believe it.
And you know what, it basically did just that. We had showers as I was doing details and the girls were getting ready which wasn’t an issue at all. It poured during dinner, but as you guessed, everyone was inside enjoying an incredible meal from Country Barn. Really, the only time it cut something slightly short was during sunset photos, but we had been able to get quite a few done and were just about to wrap up when it let loose.
Even writing this, I can’t believe how the weather completely shifted in a day’s time. Hannah and Will, your wedding day turned out to be so beautiful in more ways than one! Not only was the weather perfect, the ceremony, details, food, and guests were just as amazing!
And man, do these photos show it!
It was such an honor capturing this day for you two. From your mom helping you get your dress on, Hannah, to the guys cracking jokes during groomsmen photos, your gorgeous veil flowing in the wind in all of your photos, and the sister’s of the groom song, I couldn’t have imagined a better day. So much laughter and joy surrounds you two. You two bring so much happiness to the people around you, and the love and support they have for you is so special!
Keep each of these memories close from your wedding day!
I hope as you look through these favorites it brings back so many fun and heartfelt memories from your day. The full story will be yours to cherish soon enough! So much happiness and love in each of the photos!
I wish you two the absolute best. Have an incredible time constantly traveling the world hand-in-hand. Always dancing when no one else is and laughing at each other’s funny jokes. You two are so special, and I am so happy to have been with you through this whole process! Big hugs coming your way!
