As a Lancaster, PA photographer, most of our sessions take place at a location filled with greenery. Not many include city streets or water features. So when a client reaches out to do their session in downtown Annapolis, our ears perk up at the chance for a change in backdrop! Especially when it’s for a senior that was a bridesmaid in a past wedding.
This scenario was just the case for Brittany’s downtown Annapolis grad session.
A few years back, I met Brittany at a wedding and ever since then, we continued to stay in touch over Instagram. Commenting on each others posts every now and then. I knew she was getting close to graduating this spring when she reached out for grad photos.
It was a no-brainer to say yes!
Then the fun began on selecting a backdrop for her session. Initially, she was planning on coming up my way. Which would have been totally fine, but like I mentioned, would most likely been filled with greenery. When she mentioned potentially Annapolis, I jumped all over the chance. I had shot there one other time for an engagement session and absolutely loved it!
So much variety!
The streets are filled with beautiful murals, colorful buildings, and the cutest little nooks. Plus, the water surrounded by endless docks made our hearts so happy! It was the perfect backdrop for a one-of-a-kind senior session! When Brittany showed up with her outfits that perfectly tied into the different spots.
Almost as if she had tried it!
Just wait till you see how much her purple dress complements the buildings we found during her downtown Annapolis grad session! Past the outfit choices, Brittany’s session was such a special one! It is always an honor to photograph a graduate as they prepare to finish up their schooling and enter into the real world! It is a huge milestone, and the excitement on their faces is priceless!
That look on their faces will never get old!
I am so excited to continue to follow along on your amazing journey, Brittany! I’ll always be cheering you on. You have the best support system in your family, and I have no doubt you are going to go far in whatever you do! Congrats on such an important accomplishment!
XOXO ~ Heather Marie
