What everyone hopes for when finding their spouse. A best friend. A soul mate. Their one true love.

For Julie and Elliott, this phrase couldn’t be any more accurate.

They both made the decision to go to med school. Julie in Pennsylvania. Elliott in Kansas. Neither of them knowing that this would be more than just a decision for their career.

For every med student, the most terrifying, stressful, yet exciting day of their career is “Match Day.” It’s where a student finds out where they are being placed for residency. For the next three years of their life. It can be anywhere in the country, and you just have to up and go. Stressful, right?

But for Julie and Elliott, it was one of the best days in their lives.

They just didn’t know it yet. Julie and Elliott both got matched at Lancaster General. Lancaster, PA became their new hope, and the start of their love story. So to say they are a perfect match is an understatement.

It was meant-to-be.

Julie and Elliott are the absolute sweetest. I have loved walking alongside them through this entire journey. Attention to detail. Organized. Excited. All of my favorite things about an HMP couple. And it all came together beautifully!

Their Inn at Leola Village spring wedding was stunning!

Their ceremony location was an incredibly detailed Episcopal church in Lancaster City. The service was beautifully done to celebrate the new beginnings between Julie and Elliott. The beauty didn’t stop there. Walking into their reception space at The Inn at Leola, my mouth almost dropped. The florals were breathtaking. From centerpieces to the fireplace mantle and everywhere you looked, it was accented by romantic hues of pink and blue.

But the most beautiful part were all the toasts. Heartfelt words from each person had everyone laughing, crying, and cheering for the newlyweds. They were some of my favorite speeches to date.

The biggest congratulations to Julie and Elliott! Good luck on your last couple of months of residency. Continue to support each other, for all the years to come, like you have during these past few. 2024 is such an exciting year for you two! But I think the best is yet to come! I’m so happy for you two, and I can’t thank you enough for giving me the honor of capturing your beautiful day!
