This Warwick County Park senior session with my spokesmodel, Kaitlyn, had everything: wild weather, unexpected laughs, a nearly-locked park gate—and some seriously stunning images to top it all off!
As a photographer who thrives on creating a fun, easygoing experience (even when Mother Nature tries to throw a wrench in it), this session was a perfect reminder that with the right attitude (and a little trust!), magic can still happen.
A Stormy Start with Style
On the way to Kaitlyn’s session, a completely random storm rolled through—we’re talking full-on rain and hail. Yes, HAIL. By the time we arrived at Warwick County Park, the ground was soaked, the trails were muddy, and it was honestly a little chaotic. But Kaitlyn? She rolled with it like a total champ. She trusted me completely, and I’m so glad she did because the images we captured that evening? You’d never know we were dodging puddles and sinking into mud!
Four Outfits, One Icon
We made the most of every inch of dry-ish ground we could find, and Kaitlyn showed up with four killer outfits that gave us so much variety and personality:
- A sleek, black silk dress that looked SO elegant against the natural greens of the park.
- A casual-cool combo of jeans, a black tube top, and bright pink sneakers (a pop of color that I loved).
- A short white dress paired with cowboy boots that gave us total country-girl vibes.
- And a cozy white sweater with a denim skirt—perfect for golden hour shots with just a hint of a fall feeling.
Each outfit brought a different energy to the shoot, and Kaitlyn rocked them all with confidence and grace.
Sunset Glow & A Close Call
We were sprinting through the park chasing every last drop of sunlight by the end of the session. And yep—we stayed a little too long (what can I say? The light was perfect!). Just as we were going to our last spot, we noticed truck lights flashing at us. We paused and then continued on only for that truck to start honking at us. It seemed like they were trying to get our attention, so we headed back. It was a park ranger coming to let us know we were this close to being locked in for the night. Oops. Worth it!
This Warwick County Park senior session is such a beautiful example of what happens when you show up, embrace the chaos, and trust the process. Kaitlyn was the definition of go-with-the-flow, and it absolutely paid off.
If you’re dreaming of a senior session that feels uniquely you, rain or shine, let’s make it happen! 📸
