There’s just something magical about a summer Masonic Village senior session, and Sophie’s shoot was the perfect example of why I love photographing here. From the tree-lined paths to the iconic gardens, Masonic Village is always beautiful. But when you pair it with the perfect August evening and a senior as stunning (inside and out) as Sophie, you get a session that’s truly unforgettable.

Perfect Outfits + The Best Energy

When Sophie arrived, I knew right away it was going to be an amazing night. She came fully prepared with incredible outfit choices that gave us so much variety to play with. Each one felt fresh and unique, but if I had to pick a favorite? The polka dot shirt stole my heart. And when I noticed her nails matched it perfectly, I squealed! Those little details always make a senior session feel so personalized and fun.

Even more than the outfits, though, what stood out about Sophie was her excitement. She was so sweet, so ready for the session, and it made every single pose flow so naturally. I could tell she was truly soaking in the moment which is exactly what senior year is all about.

A Beautiful Summer Evening at Masonic Village

We could not have asked for better weather. This August has been the prettiest one of my career—sunsets, soft breezes, and golden light that makes everything glow. It felt like Masonic Village was showing off just for Sophie, and the backdrop couldn’t have been more perfect for her personality and style.

What touched me most? Sophie and her family drove over two hours to have me photograph her senior session. That’s an incredible honor, and it made me even more excited to give her a gallery full of variety, beauty, and joy to remember this milestone year.

Senior sessions at Masonic Village always have a timeless, dreamy quality, but there’s something about summer evenings that add just a little extra magic. Sophie’s summer Masonic Village senior session was filled with laughter, movement, and so much natural beauty. Watching her shine in each outfit and each setting reminded me why I love what I do—capturing seniors as they step into this exciting new chapter of life.
