Julia and Brennan’s Elizabeth Furnace fall wedding was the perfect mix of romance, joy, and downright fun. After 12 years together, these two tied the knot surrounded by friends and family who celebrated them with full hearts and packed dance moves. From the pearl details on Julia’s gown and veil to their hilarious pea row race on the dance floor, their wedding day was one I’ll never forget.
A Love Story 12 Years in the Making
Julia and Brennan’s story started thanks to their brothers, who are best friends. Julia originally got Brennan’s number “for a friend”… but as she says, that didn’t quite work out for her! Instead, it turned into the sweetest love story that grew through over a decade together.
After 10 years, Brennan proposed in Punta Cana during their first real vacation together. The original plan was a sunset beach proposal, but after a snorkeling trip and a little extra time getting ready for dinner, it turned into a quiet, starry-night moment just the two of them. Brennan even asked if he could finally be Julia’s dog’s dad. Cue the tears and laughter!
A Romantic Fall Wedding at Elizabeth Furnace
Julia and Brennan chose Elizabeth Furnace for its charm and romantic beauty. The ceremony took place in the historic Charcoal Barn, filled with neutral tones, taupe bridesmaid dresses, and soft blush, ivory, and green florals. It was timeless, elegant, and so very them.
Afterward, we stepped into the gardens for portraits, and the light coming through as the new husband and wife embraced was absolutely magical. Julia’s long pearl-detailed veil caught the breeze perfectly, and those images became instant favorites of mine.
Their reception was held in The Stables, where romantic florals and candlelight created the most stunning atmosphere. I loved that they even included their pups in their day with a signature drink sign. It was such a sweet personal touch.
A Celebration Full of Joy
One of the things I’ll remember most from Julia and Brennan’s day is the joy. Julia’s smile never left her face. Their family and friends were so warm and welcoming. Many even came up to thank us, though I felt like I should be the one thanking them for making my job so easy!
And the dance floor? Absolutely packed. Julia and Brennan even joined in a hilarious pea row race, scooting across the floor with their guests. Yes, Julia in her wedding dress! She was all game face, and it had everyone doubled over in laughter.
Julia and Brennan’s Elizabeth Furnace fall wedding was romantic, joyful, and uniquely theirs from start to finish. I’m so grateful I got to capture not only the stunning details and portraits but also the laughter and love that filled every moment of their day.
Planning your own fall wedding? Elizabeth Furnace is one of my favorite venues to photograph. Filled with history, gardens, and the most beautiful reception space. Let’s capture your love story here, too!
