My heart is still racing from this White Cliffs of Conoy fall couples session because…wow! Between the limestone cliffs, the golden sunset, and the sweetest couple (plus, their perfectly behaved pup!), it was an evening I’ll never forget.
This session was extra special for me because my connection with these two goes way back. Three years ago, JonAnthony reached out asking me to photograph his proposal to Baely. It was the sweetest thing! I still remember how excited I was to capture that moment for them. When Baely reached out this year to book a couples session, my heart skipped a beat. I couldn’t wait to have these two back in front of my camera!
Playful, Adventurous, and Heartfelt
The White Cliffs of Conoy is always breathtaking, but it felt especially magical this evening. The soft fall light hit the limestone just right – warm, glowing, and golden. It’s one of those places where nature does half the work for you (but don’t worry, I still squealed about the lighting at least ten times!).
Baely and JonAnthony were so easygoing and adventurous. Whether we were climbing across the rocks, chasing the light, or laughing through poses, they trusted me completely. And honestly, it shows in every image. Genuine smiles, real connection, and that unmistakable spark between them.
And let’s talk about their pup, Badger! He might just win “most photogenic dog ever.” At one point, he literally laid down on his own, crossed his paws, and faced right toward me like he knew it was his time to shine. I was cracking up behind the camera. He nailed his spotlight moment!
Golden Hour Glow + A Full-Circle Story
As the sun dipped below the hills across the river, the entire scene turned into a soft golden dream. The light bounced off the limestone, making everything look like it was glowing from within. It was one of those moments that makes you stop, breathe, and feel grateful for what you get to do.
This White Cliffs of Conoy fall couples session reminded me why I love capturing stories that come full circle. From proposal to portraits and everything in between, seeing Baely and JonAnthony years later, still laughing together and sharing that same spark, was the best part of all.
XOXO ~ Heather Marie
