There’s something so special about getting to photograph my couples through the different chapters of their lives. From “I do” to “we’re expecting” to “welcome home,” this Wildflower Overlook maternity and lifestyle newborn session for Alyssa and Rob is one I’ll never forget.

A Golden Evening at Wildflower Overlook

Their maternity session took place on a dreamy August evening at Wildflower Overlook. The sun dipped low behind the fields, casting that perfect warm glow over rows of golden petals. Alyssa was absolutely radiant, and you could feel the joy and excitement between her and Rob as they prepared to meet their little one. Every laugh, every gentle moment. It all felt like a quiet celebration of the life they were about to welcome.

Welcome Home, Baby Hayden

Fast forward a few weeks, and their baby boy, Hayden, arrived on September 23rd. This past week, I got to photograph their in-home lifestyle newborn session, and my heart was so full. Their home was cozy, full of love, and decorated with the cutest motocross-themed nursery (the perfect nod to something special they love).

A Family of Five (and One Proud Pup!)

We kept the session relaxed and real – snuggles on the couch, sweet moments in the nursery, and plenty of laughs, thanks to their pups who joined right in. Penelope, especially, decided it was her time to shine. She proudly claimed the title of “big sister” and wanted to be front and center for just about every photo.

The Gift of Capturing Life’s Chapters

These are the kinds of sessions that make me stop and feel extra grateful for what I do. Not just photographing moments, but preserving stories as they unfold. Watching Alyssa and Rob move from fiancé and fiancée to husband and wife to mom and dad has been the biggest honor.

This Wildflower Overlook maternity and lifestyle newborn session is proof that every season of life deserves to be celebrated. I’m so lucky I get to capture it all.
