Cassie and Noah’s Star Barn Spring Wedding in Elizabethtown, PA was the kind of day that makes me stop and say out loud, “I love my job!” From surprise rain showers on my drive in to a glowing sunset, personalized details to a packed dance floor—it was everything you’d want in a wedding day and more.
Getting Ready at The Star Barn
The morning started with a little drama—classic spring in Pennsylvania! As I drove to the venue, the skies opened up with rain, but as soon as we needed to step outside for portraits, the clouds held back and gave us soft, beautiful light. The couple got ready right at The Star Barn, one of my favorite venues for its beautiful white barn and scenic grounds.
Cassie looked stunning, and the light blue bridesmaid dresses paired with navy suits made for the perfect spring color palette. Noah wore boots (a total vibe!) and Cassie surprised him with a handwritten note on the sole of one. Cue the tears!
A Classic Ceremony at Saint Leo the Great
They tied the knot at Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, which was filled with love, happy tears, and beaming smiles. As their photographer, it was such a joy to document not just the big moments but also the quiet ones—the looks between them during vows, the hug from Cassie’s dad before handing her off to Noah.
Sunset, Swans, and Sweet Moments
We returned to The Star Barn for portraits, and just in time—the sky opened up into the most beautiful golden hour glow. During their sunset photos by the pond, a swan swam right up to us and posed like it had a wedding invite. (I’m not joking. It was perfect.)
Later, during the father-daughter dance, a sweet slow song was interrupted by the Penn State chant—a nod to Cassie’s alma mater—and the guests loved it.
A Dance Party to Remember
Let me tell you: This crowd came ready to DANCE. The floor was packed all night long, and my personal highlight was dancing to “Here for the Party” right alongside the bride. At one point, they even did a custom trucker hat toss—throwing out hats with their last name and wedding year to the guests. So fun, so unique, and so them.
Extra Special for Me
This wedding was especially close to my heart because Cassie had been a bridesmaid in another HMP wedding—so seeing her again as a bride, surrounded by familiar faces, was just so full-circle and special. Being trusted to capture days like this never gets old.
This Star Barn Spring Wedding was full of heart, laughter, and a whole lot of dancing. I’m so honored to have been part of it.
