It was turning out to be a chilly fall day at Historic Acres of Hershey. Inside, though, was full of warm smiles, happy giggles, and unending amounts of love. Girls were reminiscing about get-togethers, as their hair and makeup were getting finished. Guys were talking about football games and late nights out. Parents were remembering all of the memories as their little babies grew up. But each person knew that is was going to be an amazing day!
Kenny and Alison were getting ready for the day they would never forget.
As this was all going on, and the moment when they would say their I Do’s was getting closer, I was on the other side of the country about to start a 3-day long photography conference. So you are probably thinking, how did this wedding get shot? One of my incredible associates, Christina, captured this beautiful day. We were in constant communication throughout the day. I was so sad I wasn’t with my incredible couple, but these conferences constantly make me better, so I can serve my HMP Couples even better!
Alison reached out to me earlier this year for engagement photos of the two of them. I have known Kenny for years, as we went to the same high school and were in the same group of friends. And slowly as Alison started to come to more get-togethers, I really started to get to know her, too. So her question was a very easy one to answer! We set up a date and had an incredible time together!
I love these two together and their photos were beautiful.
So when she reached out to me several months later about their wedding, I instantly got so excited!! I quickly went over to my calendar to make sure I was available, and to write it in, and my heart instantly dropped. Not only did I already have something booked, but I wasn’t even going to be in the same state on their wedding day! My heart sunk and it BROKE MY HEART to write back to her and say I couldn’t do it. She continually said how much she just loved my photos and our time together, and she had dreamed of me shooting her wedding. She was just the absolute BEST!
So I proposed an idea to her.
Since I wouldn’t be able to do the wedding, but she loved working with me and my editing style, I suggested having an associate shoot the wedding…but I would do all the editing and all of the email communication up until (and after) the wedding. Then they could still be an HMP Couple! She was absolutely thrilled and just so beyond happy that her hope of me being a part of their wedding day could come true!
This is how amazing HMP Couples truly are!
She wanted to do anything she could to have ME be a part of their special day! It just makes me tear up thinking about it! Kenny and Alison are just the absolute sweetest people around! Flipping through the photos were just so special for me! Each time Kenny saw Alison tears instantly filled his eyes. He was just so happy to marry this woman and spend the rest of his life with her. He is always so full of jokes, but underneath, he has the biggest heart!
And it truly shows any time he is around Alison!
These two are so in love with each other, but even more importantly, they are surrounded by so much love and support. They had a 30-person bridal party. That should say enough for how much these two are loved! They will have one of the best support systems that I know, and I am so glad I can be a part of it! I can’t wait to see these two grow together and continue to love each other unconditionally. Although I may not have been there on the actual day, looking through these pictures and seeing all this emotion makes me feel like I was there! I’m sure it will for you, too! Enjoy!
