He took her hand as they walked to the center of the dance floor at their Lakeview Farms
wedding. His smile so big, as he looked over to his new wife. The music started to play, and he gently pulled her in. Wrapping both arms tightly around her waist as a smile formed on her face. They had already done a first dance, but it didn’t feel right to not have this song played on their wedding day. The one that has meant so much to them.
The one that Zack used in his proposal to Brielle.
People began to gather around the dance floor as Zach slowly turned her. Both smiling and singing along to the song. Her dad standing at the edge of the dance floor. Tears forming in his eyes. He was so happy for the two of them, but watching his little girl grow up and start a new journey was slowly sinking in. He knew she would always be his little girl, but life would be a little different now. Even knowing that, a smile ran across his face. He was so happy for the man she married. And for the girl she has grown up to be.
“Now we don’t need a big house.
We don’t need any money.
All we need is you and me.”
The song continued on. Smiles across everyone’s faces. But to Brielle and Zack? It felt like it was only the two of them there. Dancing in each other’s arms. Singing the song. Their song.
“I got everything I want.
Growing old with you.
Thanks for growing old with…me.”
The song perfectly summed up these two. Throughout the entire day, you could tell how truly happy they were to be in each other’s arms. Smiling. Talking. And just taking in each moment together. The thing they would be doing for their rest of their lives.
Brielle and Zack, I can’t express how happy I am for you two. From the first time we chatted, I knew you two were perfect together. Constant laughter and living for new memories. No matter what, you two always found a way to stay positive. Even in a pandemic, where your entire wedding was forced to change dates, you two never wavered. You took everything head-on, hand-in-hand.
I am just so proud of you two and the determination you have to find the best in everything. To make the most of each moment. And to always make sure the other is okay. It is so inspiring to watch, and I have loved walking through this season with you. Your day truly turned out to be beautiful (minus the extremely high temperatures). I wish you two the absolute best. Always stay positive, and I know you will conquer it all together!
