A very cold winter day was the backdrop for Kyra and Tyler’s winter wedding at the Mill at Manor Falls.
Every story is unique. Different. Special. And it deserves to be told.
This is not only the case for love stories but also friendships. Kyra and Tyler are very close friends to my husband and I. We often have date nights together out for dinner, conquering escape rooms or chilling out at home playing a board game.
We have grown very close with them and love the friendship that has grown.
Kyra and I met coaching club volleyball for the same club. It had been my third year of coaching and her first. Although we were not coaching the same team, we were coaching the same age group, so we often ran into each other at tournaments or even scrimmaging against each other at practices. Slowly but surely, a friendship formed, and Kyra started following me on Instagram.
Where she quickly fell in love with my photography.
I had known she was dating a guy but had not met him yet. One practice, she came up to me before it started, which was our normal routine to catch up quick, and she was very curious about my packages and photography in general. She had not mentioned anything about getting engaged, so I didn’t think too much of it. Just thought she was curious ab0ut my business as a close friend. Well, I was wrong! She ended our chat by saying she had a feeling her boyfriend was going to propose to her in the next couple weeks and that she really wanted me to be their photographer.
To say I had a hard time focusing that practice is an understatement!
I was over joyed! It was such an honor for her to love my work so much to have me document the most important day of her life! Sure enough, the following weekend, Tyler got down on one knee and asked Kyra to marry him! And only a couple days later, did an inquiry come through my phone from Kyra and Tyler. I am still so honored to have not only been a guest at their wedding but also the one to capture the day. To document every moment and memory, so they can share it with their kids for years to come!
I feel so blessed every day to do this job!
And Kyra and Tyler? They made my job so easy. The way they looked at each other and just held each other’s hand, it shows how truly in love they are. It was 25 degrees on their wedding day. I was frozen in my winter jacket, gloves, and scarf. But when you looked at them, you could have never known. They were so engulfed in their happiness and love that they were finally married that the cold had little effect on them! It was truly heartwarming to watch.
Kyra and Tyler, Joel and I love you! We are so beyond excited that you are finally husband and wife! We can’t wait for so many more double dates with you two! I am so blessed to have you two as an HMP Couple! I will always be blessed to have been their to capture your wedding day. So many tears. So much happiness. And so many memories to look back on. I know leading up to your wedding day was stressful. I can’t imagine all that you had to go through.
But let me be the first to tell you, you guys nailed it.
You stayed strong and always focused on the most important part that, no matter what, you would be marrying your best friend! It was all worth it for that part right there. I can’t wait to see what is next for you guys. Just know, we will always be there to support you two and cheer you on! Sending you so much love!
