What a magical day it was!
My celebrations with Alison and Aaron actually start the night before their wedding day. I had the honor of capturing their rehearsal dinner at the beautiful Rockfish Grill. I absolutely love when my couples have me because it gives everyone a chance to get to know me, and for me to get to know them. So then on the wedding day, we literally feel like friends catching up.
It just gives an ease to the wedding day!
At one point throughout the dinner, Alison mentioned that she just wanted to have a magical wedding day and for it to feel comfy and cozy. She visualized it as a fun day relaxing on the couch with all of their friends and family with them. As a photographer, you can get a nervous hearing that because sometimes brides can get pretty stressed once the day comes around, especially if something doesn’t go as planned.
Not the case at all for Alison!
She was calm the ENTIRE DAY! Just soaking it all in and enjoying every moment with the people by her side. Plus, I don’t know if I have ever seen a wedding run so smoothly in my life. At the end of the night, I was joking with her dad, and we couldn’t think of one thing that went out of wack. 70-degree weather in November! Seriously! We were in short sleeves. Beautiful fall leaves covered the ground. Sun shining the entire day. The timeline stayed on track.
A truly magical day for their warm fall November Historic Ashland wedding!
It was straight out of a fairy tale. Plus, with no hiccups, the cozy feeling that Alison and Aaron were hoping for shined through. From the night before all the way through the wedding day. People just enjoyed each other’s company. The two of them were able to chat with every guest. The dance floor was filled with non-stop dance moves. We were even able to crack a few laughs with guests while taking photos. It just felt like a big fun reunion! Alison and Aaron nailed the vibe they were hoping for!
I would redo this wedding day over and over!
Alison posted on her Instagram the day after asking who would be up for doing it all over again next weekend! I responded back instantly with a count me in! It was so much fun! My team and I felt all the love throughout every moment. That’s all we can ever ask for. The best part though is that now Aaron can officially say, “That’s my wife”!
I think that says it all!
A cozy day. A fun day. For these two, the only thing that truly mattered was saying I do to each other and officially being husband and wife. Everything else just fell into place! Alison and Aaron, you two are incredible! You have been so easy to work with throughout this entire process. I am going to miss Wedding Wednesday with you too. I think you may still have to email me on Wednesday just to say hi so I know what day of the week it is! Thank you for everything. It was an honor and absolute joy to capture your wedding day! I hope you enjoy some of my absolute favorites!
