It’s the end of the month!
Have you been staying on top of categorizing your expenses each week? If not, now is the time to make sure February is taken care of, so it doesn’t pile up at the end of the year.
This can be done by:
- Categorizing your expenses in an app like QuickBooks
- Organizing them in a spreadsheet. (You can grab my Photography Budget Spreadsheet from the HMP Shop here)
Whichever way you decide to categorize your expenses, make sure to work it in to your weekly “to do” list. It should only take you 5-minutes because everything is fresh in your mind, compared to waiting till January where it can take you hours because you have to remember what each expense was for.
To help you with categorizing your expenses, I am continuing with the Youtube Tax Write-off Series with Equipment and Contract Labor expenses.
P.S. Equipment has a few specific guidelines to be aware of. Make sure to check this episode out so you don’t miss any benefits!
