Sales Tax as a Photographer

May 15, 2024

Last night, my husband and I celebrated our 8th anniversary, and let me tell you, it was one for the books.

We kicked things off with a delicious dinner and drinks at a local tavern, followed by a quick stop at Pottery Works to drop off our “masterpieces” and pick up one more piece. (More on that coming soon. But I’ll give you a hint, I won’t be quitting my day job anytime soon).

But the real highlight of the evening? And I’m sure, if you have followed along with me for any stretch of time, you know what part of it may be….

Ice cream AND unexpected trivia!

You know we had to indulge in a few scoops to celebrate the occasion! As we were walking out of the ice cream shop, Joel thought to extend our evening a bit longer and grab one more drink at a local bar in the city.

Who was I to say no?

We were kid-free, and his mom told us not to rush home.

Let’s Go!

As we walked in the door, a guy with a very thick accent was on the microphone reading off a trivia question. I love trivia! Honestly, I stink at it, but I will always give a guess and hope for the best. Despite our lack of knowledge in some areas, we had an absolute blast.

As we laughed, reminisced, and indulged in sweet treats, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the love and laughter that has filled our lives for the past eight years. It was a night to remember, and one that reminded me of the joy that comes from spending time with loved ones and embracing life’s little surprises.

And speaking of surprises, I’ve got one of my own to share with you! I’ve just uploaded a new YouTube video that covers the basics of sales tax as a photographer. It’s something I’ve been getting quite a few questions about, and I’m thrilled to finally start diving into it all with you. So grab a cup of coffee (or maybe some ice cream?) and give it a watch.

As always, thank you for being a part of my journey and for your continued support.

Here’s to love, laughter, and unexpected trivia victories!

XOXO ~ Heather Marie
