Cherry Blossom Overlook Park Engagement Session

When someone thinks of cherry blossoms, they typically think of Washington DC. The Cherry blossoms are absolutely beautiful in the springtime in that area. It has always been a dream of mine to shoot an engagement session there during peak season! So if you want to be that couple, definitely reach out!

Lauren and Collin’s cherry blossom Overlook Park engagement session was a perfect tease for this dream of a session!

This Spring was the first time I realized that Lancaster, PA has a set of cherry blossoms perfect for photos! Even better, it is at one of my favorite locations, Overlook Park. I only noticed them because I was checking on one of my typical spots to see if the trees had started blooming yet. They, unfortunately, had not, but on the way, I saw two beautiful white trees in full bloom!

They were cherry blossoms!

I instantly texted Lauren and Collin about the one place not going to work out but that I had found this beautiful gem instead! Just wait until you see their photos below to know it was WELL WORTH IT! Thank goodness for couples that just trust no matter what plans may change.

The best part of their session, for me, had to be right before I said goodbye. Collin made a comment that is every photographer’s dream to hear: “Thank you for making this session so fun and easy!” That is when I know I did a good job. He had initially started the session pretty nervous and not the biggest fan of photos. By the end, he was a natural. Sure, I can take great photos, but my goal is to make sure my couples are enjoying their time together! So I can get genuine shots of the two of them and their personalities!

So hearing those words is the one thing that means the most to me!

Now, all I have to do is just wait till July to get these two love birds back in front of my camera! I am so excited to make more magic with them at the beautiful Historic Ashland! If their cherry blossom Overlook Park engagement session was a preview to their wedding day, you all are in for a really good treat!
