Everyone fell quiet throughout the room in the sanctuary of California EC Church at their intimate church wedding.

All eyes focused to the front of the church as Jared pulled out a handwritten letter. Standing in front of him was his daughter and two girls that were about to become his stepdaughters. Clearing his throat before he began I speak, he began talking to them, saying even though he hasn’t been around from the beginning, he promises to be there until the end.

For every first!

Every sporting event, school program, and award won, he would be there. Cheering them on from the side. Proud to call them his! All of a sudden, as he was finishing up, tears started to form in one of the girl’s eyes.

You could just tell how much love they had for him!

He ended by giving each of them a necklace with their initials on them. A gesture to say he would always be there. Even if it isn’t physically. Then Leighann stepped up, tissue in hand, and started to read her letter to her soon to be stepdaughter!

Tears instantly began flowing.

Honestly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the sanctuary. Not even mine and my second shooters. It was the most special thing I have ever seen at a ceremony. They all were truly becoming a family!

Leighann and Jared, I can’t thank you enough for allowing Joel and I to be a part of this day. To experience the promises you all made and to see the overflowing love between everyone, we couldn’t be more excited for you two (and the girls). It has been amazing knowing you for so many years, and now seeing it all come together on your wedding day! And the best part? We get to continue to see you guys at church. And watch this new journey unfold! Couldn’t ask for anything better!
