From spiking balls to tossing hair, this girl sure knows how to DELIVER! Jaiden’s Samuel Lewis State Park senior session was another jaw-dropping performance!
How do I get so lucky to work with so many incredible clients?
Jaiden and I first met on the volleyball court at Spooky Nook tryouts. She was one of the hundreds of girls trying out for one of the teams in her age group. One of them just happened to be one of the teams I was coaching. I still remember those tryouts as if it just happened. Early on, she started to stand out from the competition and was pretty quickly jotted down on my paper as someone to watch.
I made sure to keep my eye on her!
As coaches, girls are just remembered as numbers (which is so sad to write) since there is just so many of them. So if someone stuck out to me, I made sure to, at some point, say hi and introduce myself and put a name to a face. Jaiden was one of those girls. She was shy, but when it came to volleyball, she gave it her all!
Needless to say, she made my team in the end! Yay!!
Throughout the beginning of the season, Jaiden was always willing to learn or change something to make herself better. Taking every practice seriously and so excited to just play! I was so excited for her growth throughout the tournaments. Sadly, our season was cut short due to the not-so-wonderful pandemic, so we really only played 2 of the tournaments we were signed up for.
It was devastating!
The worst part was that, since it ended so abruptly, I never got to say goodbye to my team that year! Everything shut down on a weekend, and our last practice, we had NO IDEA it was going to happen. So there was no warning. It seriously broke my heart!!
So when Jaiden reached out for senior photos, I was over-the-moon!
I would finally have the chance to give her another hug and catch up with her on life. It was so refreshing to see her again! I am still so proud of her! She had just committed to Alabama to continue her education in nursing! Wow! What an exciting time in her life!
Roll Tide!
It was just so fun to do this session with her and hangout outside of a volleyball court. And really, just have a chance to catch up and chat about life! I can’t wait to see where this step in life takes her! I know she is going to do incredible things. But for me, this session was such a blessing to finally say “goodbye” after our season that so abruptly ended! If you know me, I hate saying goodbye, but not even getting to say that killed me!
This was exactly what I needed!
So thank you Jaiden for allowing me that joy! It is such an honor to be a little part in your life! You are such a bright and kind person! I am so proud of you! Your session was truly so much fun (and a little windy 🙂 ). I hope you love these favorites from your Samuel Lewis State Park senior session as much as I do! So many more to come soon!
XOXO ~ Heather Marie
