Growing up, I always wished I was a twin. I don’t know why, but I just thought it would have been the coolest thing! Now, you are probably wonder how this statement has anything to do with my waterfront Long Island Wedding from this past weekend.
I promise, I’m getting there.
Just think, wouldn’t it be awesome to have someone to grow up with. Figure out life together. Share memories and thoughts together. It just seems like such an awesome dynamic. Although I never got to see what it was like, my photography business has at least given me a small glimpse of the joys about it!
Insert Christine and Emily!
These two incredible girls are twins! Emily was one of my brides back in 2020. She got married at Lakefield Weddings; you can check out her blog post here, and Christine was her maid of honor. When you walked into the door, if you didn’t know them too well, they were definitely hard to tell apart. Same smile. Same sweet personality. Both beautiful woman!
I just love these two, and getting to know their family at Emily’s wedding was the best!
Fast forward a little bit, Christine gets engaged! I’m just over in my little bubble freaking out because I’m just so happy for her and Shane, who I met at Emily’s wedding. I knew it was going to be the best day! Not too long after, Christine reached out to see if I was available.
Yet again I found myself jumping for joy!
It may be my favorite weddings when I photograph a family member or close friend of one of my past HMP couples. I just love knowing so many guests already and having the opportunity to celebrate with them all again! In addition, Emily and Christine, since they are twins, are both absolutely stunning! So, I’ll never complain to have either of them in front of my camera!
Needless to stay, Christine and Shane’s waterfront Long Island wedding day did not disappoint one bit!
From the stunning views, the beautiful details, the amazing family, and catching up with so many people that I already knew, I didn’t want the day to end. So much so that I stayed almost 45 minutes over my time, just making sure I was able to say goodbye to everyone! Plus, I felt like I gained so many more friends on Shane’s side, too! The sweetest families!
Both sides welcomed me in as if I was family, too!
These are the moments, and the weddings, that make my job the BEST job in the world! I will never take for granted the job I have and the incredible people I get to meet along the way! Christine and Shane, you are high up on that list! I am so bummed there isn’t another twin in the family to have the chance to have you all in front of my camera again! It has been such an honor. I hope you two, and your families know, that you are all more than my clients – you are all close friends!
Thank you for making me feel so loved!
As I work on the rest of your gallery, just know I find myself jumping for joy yet again! I am freaking out over these photos! And this is just the beginning! Hopefully, you’ll be jumping, too, as you scroll through my favorites! Sending you all the love and hugs! Congrats again!
