In the midst of all of this chaos, I hope that you can find some positives throughout it.
With so many places closing down for the next couples weeks, so many people are stuck at home with ample amounts of free time. Brides, this can almost be a blessing for you! Instead of binge-watching every possible TV show on Netflix (I give you all the permission to do some binge-watching), you could use this free time to really dig into your wedding planning. Vendors are just as much stuck at home as you are, so it is a perfect time to reach out to them and know they are probably able to access their email and get back to you in a quick fashion.
Take this time to get a ton of this checked off of your list, so when life gets back to normal, you don’t have to feel stressed about all the things you need to find time to do. If you need help figuring out all of the things you need to think about, I have a Wedding Planning Workbook in my shop that you can purchase to give you a step-by-step breakdown of all the tasks you need to think about as you plan the wedding of your dreams. Click the link to find out all about it and to see how much time and stress you could be saving during your engagement season.
It is also a perfect time for another one of my vendor spotlight blog posts.

Frequently Asked Questions:
We don’t feel super comfortable being on camera. Can you make us look natural?
Yes, that’s what we love to do! Our job is to make sure every one feels themselves and completely natural on camera. The truth is just simply relax and enjoy the day and you will look natural on camera.Â
I’m all for video, but my fiancé isn’t so sure. Can you convince him/her?
You got it! I’m willing to meet or chat on the phone depending on my schedule, but I hear from so many people that not having a video was their biggest regret from the wedding. After the final dances and the cake has been cut you ultimately have photos and video to remember the day. And we want to make sure it’s captured in the best way possible for you.Â
Are your packages customizable?
Absolutely! We love to dial in exactly what you want and make sure we are serving each client’s unique needs. 🙂Â
How will I receive the final product?
We deliver all our videos via digital download, because we have found it’s the easiest way that you can make as many copies as you want. We do offer other methods like DVD or Blu Ray for a small add on.Â
What if i get the final product and I want changes?Â
We do everything in our power to represent your story in the most raw and authentic way. And we understand that this is a film you will view for years to come, so we want to make sure we get it right for you. So if you have changes after you receive that final product, we are willing to do what we can to try to make the film right for you. 🙂
A Special Message from Shawn and his team:
Hey everyone! At Shawn Fisher Productions, we love getting to play a part of such special moments and capturing them for couples and families to cherish for the rest of their lives! Your wedding day is one of the most monumental days of your life, so it’s crucial that you experience the JOY that comes along with it. This day has been prayed over, the smallest of details have been mapped out and now it is time to marry your best friend. One thing we have noticed over the years is that some brides miss out on every ounce of joy because they are overcome with stress. We want to encourage you with some simple points on how you can enjoy every moment.Â
-
Enjoy the process.Â
This is such a special season of your life! Being engaged usually doesn’t last very long so soak it up while you can! Planning the wedding will be one of the most talked-about things, sometimes leaving you feeling overwhelmed. In those moments take a step back, breathe and remember what this day is all about. You and your best friend will meet at the altar and embark on one of the greatest adventures of life together!Â
One of the best things you can do is GO ON A DATE. Go out and have fun with your future spouse! Another step to make it the best date ever is to not talk about the wedding! Go out for coffee, take a walk through the park, go to an arcade, whatever you choose to do, make sure you’re in the moment.Â

Let go.Â
The big day is finally here, and it’s go time. All of the planning has led up to this day. Don’t let the stress overtake you. Be confident in what you’ve planned and know that everything is going to work out. We have seen small hiccups and big hiccups on wedding days but they’ve all just added to the day. Every bump is something you can look back and laugh at. Every mistake compliments a sentimental moment. When it’s all said and done, you probably won’t even remember the minute details that didn’t go according to plan.Â
When you let go, it doesn’t just affect you; it affects those around you. Your friends and family are there to surround you with love and support! Let yourself have a good time so your people can too. On the filming aspect of things, films always feel more natural with the brides aren’t overly stressed. When the room is filled with smiles, laughter, and joy, our videos flourish. Couples watch them back and are reminded of how loved they felt by their families, friends and each other.Â
Overall, just enjoy the moments. Love the people around you and be excited! This journey is going to be remarkable.
