Pink and Black Barn at Silverstone Wedding

Sometimes a year of waiting and having patience truly pays off! In my opinion, that was easily the case for Carley and Josh’s pink and black Barn at Silverstone Wedding.

These two were my last of the COVID reschedules. It may be safe to say that I saved the best for last. What a stunning wedding they had!

I had to pick my mouth up off the floor several times!

These two first reached out to me back in March 2020, with a date of July 2021. We initially were supposed to meet at a Panera, but the day we met was one of the first days that the world shut down. Instead, we decided to meet outside at a park. Several times, we joked about not being able to go anywhere; little did we know it was going to affect their wedding date.

It was over a year away!

As the months slowly ticked away, things still remained very uncertain. Some days, it looked hopeful that it would clear up, while other times the nerves started to set in. Exactly a year after reaching out, only five months out from the wedding, Carley and Josh made the tough call to postpone their wedding a year.

I could never imagine having to make such a difficult decision!

Carley and Josh, though, have had such positive attitudes through it all. Instead of letting it get them down, they took the extra time to fine-tune every detail. Add in elements that they may not have been able to have on the original day. And build up quite the anticipation for their family and friends! So that when wedding day final arrived, it would be better than any of us could have imagined!

It was like walking into a fairytale!

From the gorgeous backdrop of the Barn at Silverstone to the stunning florals by Petals with Style (and every other detail in between), Carley and Josh’s wedding day was one out of a magazine! The wait may have been tough but so worth it! Plus, the level of excitement and happiness from their friends and family was through the roof!

I don’t think it could have been any higher!

What an honor it was to be on this journey with these two! They are the epitome of calm, cool, and collect. From the day they booked me to the day they said, “I Do,” they didn’t let anything derail them from enjoying this season of life! Just from this, I can tell that Josh is going to be an incredible school principal one day!
