I can’t believe we are halfway through another month!! Is this year flying by for anyone else, too? No, just me! Well, someone tell me how to slow it down!!! With all the beautiful sessions and couples that have been popping up on my blog, I am soooo excited to change it up a little today and share another vendor spotlight!!
After you have all your major vendors figure out and solidified, it’s time to start thinking about all the décor and how everything will fully be tied together down to the little details. Yes, you can figure this all out on your own. But after you read this post, you will see why a décor rental company is an incredible asset to have in planning your special day.
Especially when they provide coordinating along with it!!!
Treasured Events has been one of my favorite vendors to work with on weddings and styled shoots. They are always so creative with the visions their couples bring and truly have every piece you can possibly think of! I actually used them for several pieces in my own wedding and absolutely LOVED how it all turned out! You pick your caterer, photographer (Heather is an incredible one to start with!! 😉), florist, DJ, coordinator, hair & make up artist, and possibly a videographer; then you think you have everything covered, right? Well, almost… the question is, who will make sure your vision comes to life? Making it look like the day of your dreams? And what about all those dreamy pictures you’ve seen with beautiful tables, buffets, settees, and other specialty items…where do they come from?

Hi, we are Treasured Events. A specialty décor and styling company, and that’s what we love to do!! We meet with our couples and ask them about their venue and vendors and then talk through all the details of their day. We have a website with all our décor on it, and some couples fill out a wishlist through that which works great, but we love it if our couples can actually come to our showroom in Lancaster County. It is important to us to develop a relationship with our clients, so we understand your style and vision and can help you pull together a look to your day that ends up looking like it belongs featured on a wedding blog. (And many of the weddings we do actually do end up as features!!)
One thing to keep in mind while planning your style and décor is that you shouldn’t rely on Pinterest to get the look you want. We always say that pictures should get deleted from Pinterest after 2 years, since wedding trends are constantly changing. For example, in 2014, so many couples were using burlap, lace and mason jars as décor, and Pinterest is FULL of pictures like this, but if you brought those pictures to me, I’d show you how the trends have changed and show you some more current options.
There is an expression that “trends become tacky.”
So, we want to make sure that the ideas we discuss with you are current and beautiful. Of course, if your heart is set on burlap and mason jars, we’ll do it!! It is your day, after all, and we have so many different options available to suit every couple’s vision!! We have a HUGE selection of all sorts of décor to fit every style. From rustic to boho to simple elegance to modern, and every style in between! In fact, many couples are choosing an eclectic mix of décor, even mixing different metal tones to give a more updated look.
Gone is the time that everything was all the same…uniqueness to reflect your personal style is the look we work towards.
With styling, we talk about every aspect of your day…for example, your dessert buffet…do you know how your caterer will display the desserts? Will they be on a linen-covered table on plain platters? How much prettier would your dessert buffet be on a vintage buffet with the desserts displayed on assorted cake plates with flowers spilling out of the drawers?!
These are the types of things we’ll discuss when you come out. It is very helpful for us to know your vendors. We know most of the vendors in the Central PA area, and some are very creative in their food displays, in which case you may not need as much styling assistance from us, while others don’t have as much talent in styling the food areas. These are all things we will discuss when you come out to our showroom. We also like to know who your florist is since, so we can discuss ways floral details can be beautiful accents to our rental pieces.
One question you may have now is how much all this costs, and the good thing is, we can work with all budgets!!
When a couple is on a tight budget, we’ll discuss which pieces would get the most bang for your buck. We also discuss ways we can repurpose pieces to use both before the ceremony in your welcome area and then again at your reception. When you work with us, we deliver all our rental pieces to your wedding and make sure they are cleaned and polished and set them up at the exact place you want them. We add styling details to make them look like they belong there…not just a table in the middle of the yard. By adding smaller décor pieces around it, it makes it look like it’s always been there.
