The music shifted, and the guests fell quiet. The groomsmen began their walk down the aisle, and at the end? At the end came Aaron, with the biggest smile on his face. Earlier in the day, I had asked him how he was feeling, and he said pretty nervous. But now? Now it seemed like the nerves had fallen to the wayside, and he was just so excited to see his bride walk down the aisle!
One-by-one, the bridesmaids began to walk in. Gracefully coming down the aisle. Building up the anticipation for that moment Aaron had been waiting so long for. Heads began to slowly turn as each guest, too, got excited for this moment. Amy and her father slowly made their way down the spiral stairs from the room she had been tucked away in at the beautiful Purcell Friendship Hall. Making sure there was no way that this moment could have been messed up. Aaron even kept his head down during their entire walk. Until all of a sudden, the best man gave him a little tap on the arm. Slowly his head raised. So many emotions rushed through his mind. He was just seconds away from seeing her!
There she was! The woman he had completely fallen for!
As she walked down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her dad, each step getting closer to him. His smile continued to get bigger and bigger. Nothing else mattered. All he could do was watch her and think how lucky he truly was! As they came to the end of the aisle, Amy turned and gave her dad a hug. Letting him know she will always love him! And then, as she watched, Amy’s dad turned and embraced Aaron. Welcoming him into the family with open arms, so excited to be gaining a son. As he went and sat down, Amy and Aaron moved closer together and held tightly on to each other’s hands.
They were so ready to get this start, so they could officially become husband and wife!
This was only one small moment in their day that the two of them were just so focused on each other that nothing else mattered. These two were such a breath of fresh air the entire day. Constant smiles and laughs filled the space they were in. Neither panicked of stressed about the little things. They set that all aside when the day began. Focusing just on the people who came to support them and the fact that by the end of the night they would be husband and wife. As long as they could be together, they didn’t care what they needed to do.
Each person could see just how happy they truly were!
Amy and Aaron, it has been one of the best experiences to truly get to know you two. I feel like I have gained two amazing friends through this process, and I can’t wait to see you grow as one! You both had me laughing the entire day, and I felt so welcomed, as if I were a guest (with a fancy camera 😉 ). Amy, your parents have been so beyond excited for this day as I chatted them each Sunday at church. They are so proud of you and just love that Aaron is now officially a member of the family. Even though they have felt like he was from the beginning. You two have so much ahead of you, and I can’t wait to see it all unfold! Just continue to always be smiling and don’t let the small things bother you, just like you did on your wedding day! Your photos have me soooo excited, I think you will see why shortly! Sending you two all my love and best wishes!!
