Candles floating in glass cylinders of water. Lining both sides of the aisle in the ceremony space at The Inn at Leola Village. Light softly flickering across the floor. The room is intimate with only thirty chairs for their closest friends and family! The space is quiet, except for the beautiful music playing by two instrumentalists in the back of the space.
Perfectly filling the air and inviting guests to join.
One-by-one, each of the guests entering the ceremony space and finding their seat on a white cushioned chair with a pack of bubbles for each of them. I overhear quiet chatting between guests. People catching up. Some meeting for the first time. But mainly each talking about how excited they are for Matt and Katie. The room was filled with so much support and love!
Even before the two walked into the space.
Intimate weddings may be small in size, but they are definitely not small in the amount of love that is poured into the couple. Katie and Matt’s wedding was the smallest I had ever photographed. There is something special about having your absolute closest family and friends around you. Each one of them is overjoyed, proud, and happy for the couple! I always enjoy both sides of the family truly becoming one and getting to meet everyone that is significant to that person.
It was so special to sit at dinner with some of the family and just listen to all of the laughter and stories that were being told. I truly felt like I was a part of the family by the end of the evening!
It was so sad when it was time to go!
At their intimate wedding, it felt like one big celebration. Everyone is a part of each moment, and nothing is missed. Each bond grew stronger, and so many new ones were formed. I feel so blessed that I could experience one of these types of weddings! Especially that it was Katie and Matt’s!! These two are the absolute sweetest! Always making sure I was okay and had everything I needed. I know I said it before, but I just can’t get over how included I was in this wedding day from start to finish! I even had the chance to chat with almost every guest.
Which just fills my heart so much!
Katie and Matt, thanks for making the trip up to Pennsylvania for your wedding day! I am so honored that I was the one to capture this day for you! You two are just the best, and I know you will have so many incredible years ahead! And so many more memories and laughs to have with each of your families! They all love you so incredibly much, so confide in them as you go through this journey! They will be incredible role models for you as you start your lives together. But I know you will soar together! I wish you two all the best, and if I am ever down in your area, I will definitely be reaching out to catch up! 🙂
