Blustery Evening Engagement Session at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA

Nov 28, 2019

Standing. Wrapped in each other’s arms. A large architectural monument towers behind them. The light in the sky slowly begins to fade. Only a few lights shining on the monument are left. Emily and Wilder are smiling ear-to-ear at each other. Their heads slowly lean forward. As their foreheads touch, their eyes close. They share a kiss. The final one of their beautiful Fall engagement session. As they relax, smiles instantly return to their faces.

So much happiness. So much love.

As we begin to walk back to the cars, we each feel something hit our heads. Right as we are about to mention that we think it is starting to rain, the skies open up! Raindrops come down faster and faster. We start to sprint to the cars. Laughter between all of us. We had just finished in the nick of time. As if God was holding the rain back, so they could have that final kiss. This was surely not the only beautiful moment throughout their session. Each time they shared a kiss, it was as if the world paused.

For just a moment.

But for Emily and Wilder, it was all they needed to make sure the other knew how much they loved them. Even though I’m sure they both already did. These two will always hold a special place in my heart. They were the first HMP Couple to base their wedding date on my availability. When they first reached out, they were thinking of having a 2021 wedding date, but after venue visits and discussing together, they switched to a September 2020 date. Right away, Emily reached out to see which weekends I still had available. They had already known they wanted me to be a part of the day. Honestly, that is the biggest compliment I think I could ever receive. To have never met me, but just know that I would be the perfect fit is more than I could ever ask for.

These two are so much of what makes up an HMP Couple!

Laughter. Fun. Love. Adventure. Each piece they encompass as a couple. And to say their engagement session was fun, is an understatement. I am so beyond excited for their wedding day. But even more so, I’m excited to meet all of the people that are so special in their lives. The ones that have made them who they are. The ones who have poured all the love and support into them through their first years together as a couple. I can’t wait to see them say I Do and finally be married. And then to see them as the next part of their journey begins!

Emily and Wilder, thank you for trusting in me from the beginning. For wanting me to be part of such a special time in your life. I am so excited for what’s to come and to watch our friendship grow even more. I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving, and I hope these photos make it a little more special this year!

XOXO ~ Heather Marie
