National Memorial Arch. AKA, the perfect backdrop!

As an engagement session slowly draws near, I reach out to my couples to see if they have a location in mind. Typically, I am all about a spot that it unique to them. One that has played a major role in their relationship or just describes them to a “T.” But then there are few occasions where I find a spot that I am itching to photograph at, and I suggest it to them for their session.

This was one of those spots.

I have had my eye on the National Memorial Arch for several months now. It is so beautiful in-and-of itself, but then when you add a red dress and a suit, it just seals the deal. And that is exactly what happened for Amee and Patrick’s engagement session! I am now even more in love with that location!!!

It was a perfect combination of a light breeze, golden colored sky, stunning architecture, and a whole lot of love.

I wish we could replay that evening over again. Honestly, we had so much fun. Singing songs as we walked from one location to the other. Cracking up laughing at jokes being told. And just truly getting to know each other. Amee and Patrick are some of the sweetest people with hearts of gold. Willing to give anything a try and looking stunning during all of it (even when Amee starts talking mid-kiss and still kills the shot).

These two are a true #hmpcouple!

Patrick was honestly grinning from ear-to-ear the entire session as he watched Amee gracefully move around him. Always there to hold her close and give her the softest kisses. And Amee was just plain stunning. From smiling to gazing her eyes off to the side, she nailed every shot. But the best part? Talking to them was so easy. I feel like we could have gone and grabbed dinner together and talked for another two hours! I absolutely loved my time with them.

Can’t wait for your wedding in the next couple months! It is going to be beautiful.

But until then, I hope you enjoy looking back through this gorgeous evening at the stunning National Memorial Arch! I will always think of you two and this incredible session everytime I go back!
