The answer to that was a resounding “YES” on Saturday at Katie and Shawn’s wedding. It was at the beautiful Eden Resort on a chilly Halloween day. But I can promise you there wasn’t anything spooky about it. Instead, it was filled with happiness and a little pixie dust! Yes, you ready that right.

Which was so perfect for these two because it is one of their favorite trips they have been on together and a huge part of Katie’s childhood. That is a lady after my own heart! As guests started to gather at the ceremony location, softly playing in the background was every Disney song you could think of. From Lion King to Aladdin, each was played instrumentally to welcome the guests to the beautiful occasion.

The cake topper, card box, and head table decorations all used the signature Disney font to write out the text. The beautiful lanterns that surrounded Katie and Shawn as they said their I Do’s almost looked as if they were hanging on vines like you would picture in the fairy tale Disney movies that wrapped around the stone castles. Each detail so elegant while still giving a nod to all their childhood memories. And of course, as guests enjoyed their five-course meal, Disney music of all kinds played in the background. But the best part? The best part was the maid of honor speech. The entire thing was based off of different lines from Disney movies. It was perfect!

I loved every moment of the day with Katie and Shawn. Shawn was quiet most of the day. Taking in the memories, the people around him, and all the conversations had. But I always knew he was so happy. Because right when he would look towards Katie, or she would say something to him, a smile would instantly light up across his face. That was all he needed to do for me to know that this was the best day! He may not be the guy who gets the conversation going in every situation, but when he is with Katie, she opens him up so much, and the love and happiness exudes from him.

Words aren’t needed when the love between two people is this strong! Katie and Shawn, always keep that childhood happiness at heart. Goof off with each other. Have long conversations. Whistle while you work. Just keep swimming. And always remember, all you need is a little pixie dust! I am beyond excited for you two and can’t wait to see the rest of your fairytale unfold!
