When your receive an email that says…
“Would it be okay if we brought our dogs along to the engagement session for some photos with them?”
Ummmm, you instantly start party dancing in your head because you are out in public and don’t want to draw too much attention to yourself! But maybe I should have. They would understand, right? I LOVE when my couples… (1) Have fur babies and (2) Want to incorporate them into their session!
Bring on all of the slobbery kisses!!
Winnie and Todd were sooo full of energy and were so excited to be a part of the session. Katie and Shawn often walk them at the Lancaster County Park, so the pups definitely knew the way to their usual trail. Whenever I would have just Katie and Shawn go to a spot for some photos alone, Winnie would instantly start whining and getting jealous. She so badly wanted to be by Katie’s side! I just love the relationships between and dog and their owner. Dog owners go to great lengths to keep their dogs safe. From booking appointments via virtual telehealth software for veterinarians to taking care of every need, the relationship between dogs and their owners are pure love.
They are so right when they say, “A dog is a man’s bestfriend!”
Even though the dogs were absolutely adorable, Katie and Shawn still definitely stole the show at this session! With the combination of gorgeous fall sun coming through the leaves, perfect fall colors, and a quiet but confident love, these two were so fun to photograph! Shawn stayed quiet for most of the session, but man, his smiles at Katie told the full story! At one point while I was doing the ring shots, Katie and Shawn were off to the side chatting. In the midst of their conversation, Shawn broke out in a huge laugh, and I thought to myself, he may be quiet, but Katie brings out the best in him! I loved just hearing the two of them interact when no one else is around!
He truly is happiest around her!
And Katie, where to even begin! She is a dream #heathermariebride! Their wedding isn’t until the end of October 2020, and guess what? She has everything basically all figured out except for one final vendor! I mean, come on! She is speaking my language on that one. I love when my brides are so eager to start planning their day that they get everything basically finished, way in advance! Then you can truly enjoy the engagement season and this unique time together before you become husband and wife! Katie has me so excited for their day. With all the beautiful details she described, I don’t know if I can wait over a year until I see it all come together!
