Summer Silk Mill on Main Wedding

Jul 7, 2021

Summer Silk Mill on Main Wedding

Why do it once when you can have it twice?

These were my exact thoughts when Olivia and Brandon reached out to me about their summer Silk Mill on Main wedding.

Let me give a little backstory!

Olivia and Brandon, like many couples, were supposed to get married last year. They had a June wedding planned, and the details were coming together beautifully. All until COVID hit!

Their dream wedding was drastically rocked.

However, they really didn’t want to have to wait a whole other year to be husband and wife. So, when they reached out to me, they came up with the idea of still doing a small wedding on their original date and then still holding a large party the following year! I was all for it! Not only would I get to see them another time, but they’d get to celebrate the best day of their lives a second time!

Who would argue with that?

So, as you can see on this blog post, we officially married these two last year, and they got to renew their vows and celebrate with family and friends this year! It was so fun to catch up with these two again and see how their first year of marriage had gone!

Amazing, of course!

However, this is one thing I often don’t get the chance to do with my couples in person, so it was so fun! And then to spend the whole day with the people they care about the most? It was a cherry on top!

Especially when I know a good amount of the guests!

Olivia and I actually grew up going to the same church for many years! I changed churches once I married Joel, but Olivia stayed close with all of those people. It was so fun catching up with everyone and seeing where they were in life! But I have to say, that still may not have been the best part! Do you think you could guess what was?

They had an ICE CREAM BAR!!

I was jumping for joy! About 30 days before the wedding, I always send my couple a wedding day questionnaire. It allows me to be fully prepared when I arrive on the day. Well, one of the final questions is if there are any other details I should know about! You know you have found your ideal couple when their answer to that question is that they want to make sure I get some ice cream during the reception! I mean!!! Can I be any more blessed?

My couples know me so well!

I couldn’t ask for a better job and a better group of people I get to do this job for!! I am so blessed with all the couples I have met and the love they have shown me!
Olivia and Brandon, I can’t believe our “time together” for the wedding has come to an end. I say that lightly because I know I’ll see you two later this month, and I’m sure more times after that! Thank you for letting me be a part of this journey with you for several years 🙂 I have loved every minute of it! I can’t wait to continue to hear how each year of marriage gets better and better for you! You two are so fun. Please don’t ever lose that! I’m so excited for you to see some of my favorites from this special day! Enjoy!
