Dreamy Pinnacle Point Overlook Engagement Session
Alison and Aaron, from the moment we first met on the welcome chat, were just the sweetest couple. Super friendly. All smiles. People you wanted to be around. So, I was super excited when the email dinged on my computer from them saying they wanted to book me.
I was so excited!
Every detail they talked about for their day sounded amazing. With Historic Ashland as the beautiful backdrop for their wedding day, the excitement just kept rising. Next November is so long to wait. Thankfully, I at least got to see them for their Pinnacle Point Overlook engagement session!
Just like the ideas for their wedding day, their engagement session was so dreamy!
Alison stepped out of the vehicle in a beautiful dress that softly fell around her. Each gust of wind created a perfect breeze to let the soft layers flutter behind her. Aaron, coming around the car after her, had on a white sweater that perfectly complimented her dress. He even had elbow patches that were the perfect touch.
The surprises didn’t stop coming!
About halfway through the session, my couples typically change into a different outfit to maximize the variety in their gallery. Plus, it gives me time to photograph the gorgeous engagement ring! When these two rounded the corner from the path after changing, my jaw almost dropped. Alison came in yet another beautifully flowing dress. This time in a deep green color that was just stunning on her. Aaron’s button-up shirt and khaki pants created yet another great combo! Seriously so excited for their wedding day, especially if they were able to knock their engagement session out of the park this well!
Have I mentioned how much I can’t wait for November 2022?
Even in their stunning outfits, there was still one part of the session that will stick with me for awhile. It is one that I see in all of my HMP couples and brings so much warmth to my heart. It’s the willingness to do whatever it takes to make the other person happy! As we were walking to the overlook, Aaron was holding Alison’s handing and helping her navigate walking across the rocks in her shoes. She jokingly mentioned how much she used to not love going on hikes and climbing rocks. But ever since she has been with Aaron, she has seen how much he enjoys it and is willing to give it a shot every now and then. Jokingly, she said that now he will think she has no excuse not to go because she did it for the session in heels. Even though she was joking, it instantly put a smile on my face because she was thinking about him. She wanted to make sure he was happy.
She was willing to step out of her comfort zone for him.
Man, it just warms my heart. You two are the absolute best, and I’m so honored to be your wedding photographer! Trust me, the countdown is on for me, too! I can’t wait to see you both again and get you back in front of my camera. Maybe this time on a little flatter ground! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! Slightly obsessed!
XOXO ~ Heather Marie
