Rebecca and Chris’s rainy Barn at Silverstone wedding proved that a little rain can’t dampen a whole lot of love. It rained almost the entire day. Still, these two never worried about what they couldn’t control. Instead, they were open to my ideas and happy to get a tiny bit wet to reach the spots I had in mind. Most of all, they were just happy to be marrying each other and celebrating with their family and friends.
How Rebecca and Chris Met
Rebecca and Chris first connected on Tinder back around 2016 or 2017. For about a year and a half, they texted on and off. Then, in July 2019, Rebecca came across Chris’s name while going through her contacts. So she sent him a text to see how he was doing. Ever since then, they’ve been talking!
A Williamsburg Proposal
On the last full day of a vacation in Williamsburg, Virginia, the couple was getting ready to head out. While Rebecca gathered her bag, Chris went back into the bedroom. Then he said, “Good we didn’t leave yet. You almost forgot something.” When Rebecca turned around to ask what, Chris was on one knee holding the ring. “Marry me?” he asked.
Getting Ready and a First Look With Dad
Rebecca got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids in dusty blue. When she revealed her dress, the happy tears came fast. Next, she shared a first look with her dad, who greeted her with the biggest smile and a warm hug. Her details held something special too: a brooch that belonged to her late grandmother.
Private Vows and a Chicken Drawing
Afterward, Rebecca and Chris shared a first look on the covered porch. Then they read the private vows they wrote for each other. At the end of his vows, Chris drew a picture of a chicken. According to Chris, it’s the only thing he can draw well! Rebecca could not stop laughing, and it was such a perfect picture of the two of them.
Love You Could See
Chris kept everyone laughing all day with his carefree ways. Once he and Rebecca were together, though, you could see his love for her in his eyes. At one point, I asked him to look off in her direction. The way he looked at her said everything.
An Indoor Ceremony and a Packed Dance Floor
Rebecca and Chris always planned to say “I do” inside the barn, so the rain didn’t change a thing. Afterward, the celebration kicked into high gear. Their families were so much fun! Rebecca’s sister, the maid of honor, roasted their dad in her speech. Before long, the dance floor was packed.
