Lavender Summer Wedding at Lakefield Weddings

Summer was officially in full swing for Kelsey and Gino’s Lavender Summer Wedding at Lakefield Weddings. It had been partly cloudy all morning and early afternoon as the girls got ready. No rain in sight, but the summer heat was definitely setting in. As the dresses started to get zipped up and the details photographed, the clouds began to slowly part.

It was playing out to be a gorgeous day!

The guests started to arrive and take their seats, just as the skies fully cleared. The groomsmen lined up at the top of the stairs, and the music began to play. All eyes shifted to the back. Gino, walking behind the officiant as they took their places, had the biggest smile on his face!

You could tell just how excited he was for this moment.

After the bridesmaids, ring bearer, and flower girl made their way down the aisle, the wooden doors closed behind. The moment was about to happen. Everyone fell silent, as the music shifted one final time.

A few seconds of anticipation passed, and then finally….

The doors opened. Standing there in her gorgeous wedding dress, with her dad by her side, Kelsey couldn’t help but instantly smile. At the same moment, tears instantly flooded Gino’s eyes. He couldn’t believe the time had finally come. That he had been blessed to marry this woman!

To soon call her his wife!

Tears instantly filled everyone’s eyes as well. Mine included! It was the most incredible reaction and perfectly showed how much love Gino has for Kelsey! These two were meant-to-be! There were several more tears that fell throughout the rest of the ceremony. Each time, proving how amazing their marriage is going to be!

I can’t wait to follow along on their journey!

From the moment I met these two, it was an instant connection. Kelsey had gone to the same high school as I, but we were several years apart and only vaguely knew of each other. So instantly, we had to catch up on the high school years, and the conversation just continued from there. Even past the engagement session, we constantly chatted on social media or through text. These two will be friends for years to come! I am so excited to relive this wedding day over again as I edit through the photos, but for now, I had to share some of my absolute favorites!!!
