A Barn at Silverstone Summer Wedding.
From 2019. To 2020. To 2021. Everything happened for a reason to lead us to a stunning Barn at Silverstone Summer Wedding!
Between you and me, I’m so happy I got an extra year with these two!
Yep. You read that write. A whole extra year. July 4th, 2020 was the original date Michelle and Evan booked me for. An Independence Day celebration decked out with all the red, white, and blue. Plus, fireworks from all around. Unfortunately, 2020 had a different idea in mind. But that didn’t waiver these two!
They made lemons out of lemonade!
Sure their big wedding got postponed to 2021, but you won’t believe what Michelle and Evan decided to do instead. They were determined to still get married on their original wedding day…but in a different fashion. And I had the absolute honor to still be a part of that day. So instead of just doing a small ceremony and saving everything else for the following year, Michelle and Evan invited their entire bridal party and both sets of parents to a cabin for the weekend in the Poconos!
Talk about game-changer!
Sure they still had their ceremony, but it wasn’t only that and then done. Instead, they were surrounded by the ones they loved all weekend long to, not only celebrate their wedding, but also to celebrate the Fourth of July! It was a nonstop celebration and tons of fun! Joel even came along with me! It was so fun to get to know everyone last year so that this year just felt like a big reunion! We all just picked up right where we left off!
I truly felt like part of the crew!
Joel even swung in for a little this year because everyone in the bridal party and the couple was asking for him to stop by and say hi! At one point at their Barn at Silverstone summer wedding, I said to Michelle, I kind of love these two wedding day situations! I get super close with all my couples, but to get to meet all their bridal party a year early and then hang out with them for a full day again…..
It was truly a treat!!
Let me tell you, Michelle and Evan, plus their bridal party and all their guests, really know how to have a fun time! My cheeks seriously hurt by the end of the night from constant smiles and laughter. Inside jokes were brought up. Epic dance moves were made. And we even had a special performance made by the best man at the end of the night. This wedding day will seriously go down in history as one of my favorites!!
It was truly epic!
Michelle came up to me at the end of the night as we were getting ready to head out and said that she was so sad our time was over. It had been exactly two years from when they first inquired with me! Two years of emails back and forth. Three different photo sessions together. And endless messages back and forth on social media. It was crazy to think “our time” was over. But with every HMP Couple, just because the wedding day is finished, our friendship definitely will not be! So Michelle and Evan, I can’t wait till the next time I see you two because I know I’ll see you two again! In the meantime, though, there are so many photos to share. Starting with these favorites from your “second” wedding day!!! Enjoy!
XOXO ~ Heather Marie
