Whimsical Ephrata Cloister Engagement Session

Shy. Timid. Unsure.

These are all common words that come up when my couples are preparing for their engagement session. Such, was the case for Lauren and Matt’s whimsical Ephrata Cloister engagement session. Lauren had warned me that they really hadn’t taken any pictures together and only had a handful of photos throughout their relationship.

It wasn’t a common thing for them.

So she warned me that it would be very new and unnatural from them, but they were excited for the opportunity! Instantly, I reassured them and got excited inside! I love when my couples just aren’t sure how to “pose” in front of the camera but are willing to do anything! That’s exactly how Lauren and Matt were!

The first thing they said at the session was, “We don’t know what we are doing but are willing to learn!”

It was music to my ears! Right from the beginning, they trusted me! Oh my gosh! Let me tell you, they were incredible! It seemed like they had done this several times before! Both of them have a background in musical theater, and it definitely shines through! They took direction perfectly and even added their own little twists to things to make their personalities stand out!

It was an engagement session to remember!

And to talk about their location choice. They nailed it! I had never been to Ephrata Cloister, but it had been on my list for quite some time! It didn’t disappoint. Every where we went was stunning. We didn’t even go into the actual place until a quarter of the way through the session because the buildings and fences around it were just as beautiful!

Lauren and Matt, I am jumping for joy that your wedding is only a little over a month away! I want to get you two back in front of my camera as soon as possible! The way Matt looks at you, Lauren, is just so special to see, and your smile lights up a room! I’m so excited to see you two say I Do in front of your closest friends and family. Also, to see all the special touches that they bring for the decorations around Cameron Estate Inn is going to breath taking! Is it September yet? You two seriously nailed your whimsical Ephrata Cloister engagement session and were just sooo fun to work with! Let the countdown begin!!!
