Best of 2021 Engagement Sessions

Engagement season is upon us, and I am LOVING all the new inquiries that are rolling in. It is so fun to hear how unique each proposal story is! HMP grooms are really stepping it up! But before I turn my attention fully to 2022 engagement sessions, I want to take a moment to highlight some of my favorite photos from 2021.

For 2021, I got to travel a bit more for my engagement sessions. I was in New Jersey for a few, and Maryland, and of course a ton right in the amazing state of Pennsylvania. Even staying in PA, I photographed almost half my sessions at new places.

I am not complaining about that at all!

I love visiting new places! Doing it for one of my couple’s engagement session, because it means something special to them, is my favorite part! Memories are made everywhere. Whether it’s the beach, hiking a mountain to an overlook, or at your childhood home, your engagement session should highlight your relationship!

It’s my favorite part, getting to learn about my couple!

In addition to all the new locations, my HMP couples this year completely nailed it with their outfits! The amount of flowing dresses in front of my camera this year makes my heart so happy! I’m getting a huge smile on my face just thinking about it! Just wait till you see! I am so glad the engagement session style guide I send out to each couple has been so helpful! It makes my so happy when my couple comes to the session thanking me for all the advice and mentioning that they felt confident and not panicked as they prepared for the session!

That is all that matters!

On top of that, when I leave the session knowing they had fun and hearing the groom say, “That wasn’t bad at all!,” I know I have done my job. Not only did we get to know each other better throughout the session, but they can now feel comfortable in front of the camera on their wedding day. They deserve to be confident and not worried about how they look in their wedding photos (or where to put their hands) because I know there will be several other things on their wedding day that will be grabbing their attention. Doing an engagement session beforehand brings them so much ease, and that is what matters!

Plus, I love any bonus time with my HMP couples!!
